Important Youth Conference Information!!!

YOUTH CONFERENCE 2010
(this is NOT the youth conference insignia--however it is similar as we are doing the "survivor" theme)
Friday June 16th- Saturday June 17th
Important information below- PLEASE read all of it (there are some changes)
MAKE SURE YOUR GIRLS HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
*Sunday Dress for Friday Night Fireside
*Change of clothes for Saturday
*Water shoes or old tennis shoes that can get wet and muddy
*Sunscreen
*Sleeping Bag
*Pillow
*Extra blanket
*Air Mattress/Pad or Cot to sleep on
*Pajamas
*Toiletries
*Folding (in bag) Camp Chair
*Work Gloves
*Flashlight
*Garbage Bag (for muddy clothes and shoes)
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR WARD PROVIDES the following:
*Tents
(enough for all YW and YM in the ward)
*At least one canopy for shade
*Drinking Water
(enough for your YW and YM -They will be given youth conference water bottles)
*Snacks to share with everyone for the dance Friday night
*Chaperone's- 2 adults per 8 youth
(you can get together with other wards and share leaders if you do not have 8 youth in your ward, this can also apply to tents and sleeping arrangements-you are responsible for making these arrangements)
*Transportation to Marshall Lake- Leave Verde Valley by 1:00pm Friday the 16th
(check-in by 2:30pm Friday the 16th)
*Transportation Home (will need to be at Marshall Lake to provide rides home BY 5:30pm Saturday the 17th)
*Remember the kids will be muddy and wet, so let those who are providing rides be aware, so they can prepare their vehicles for mud and water.
FIRESIDE/DANCE- Friday 7pm a the Mormon Lake Chapel
Payson, Flagstaff, and Winslow stakes have been invited to participate in the fireside and dance with us Friday evening.
We will be making arrangements to get a phenomenal speaker Tyler Wilkinson (as seen on: A real Hero appearing with Steve Young). We REALLY want to make it worth his time, so we have opened the FIRESIDE ONLY to adults-PLEASE bring anyone and invite anyone interested (14 and older) so we can fill the Mormon Lake Chapel. PLEASE ANNOUNCE IN YOUR WARDS!
PERMISSION SLIPS:
Kids are allowed to sign up as late as "the day of" as long as they have permission slips signed, are prepared, and have rides (we are planning on about 100, including leaders)
PLEASE MAKE 2 COPIES of the permission slips (put one copy in the kids luggage so they can have it in the car with them and bring 2nd copy to a stake leader when you arrive)
